Future of Gogar Park Curling Club

In December 2003 the plans for a curling rink at Kings Acre Golf Course and Academy fell through due to planning issues. Following this the committee has been examining other options. This has included revisiting previous proposals and exploring new possibilities.

Our main obstacles have been the strong competition for land in the Edinburgh area and the issues of planning consent in the greenbelt.

We are at present exploring four possible options and their cost and funding implications. We hope to report to the AGM with recommendations.

The committee remains strongly committed to do the utmost to maintain the continuity of Gogar Park Curling Club.
